About This Attraction
Bagh-e-Babur, or Babur's Gardens, is a historic walled garden on the slopes of Kabul — the oldest surviving example of a Mughal garden in the world. Laid out in the early 16th century by Zahir-ud-din Muhammad Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire, the garden is his final resting place. Terraced gardens, marble pavilions, a restored caravanserai, and sweeping views over Kabul make this one of the most peaceful and historically rich places in the city. The Aga Khan Trust for Culture has beautifully restored it.
