Wakhan Corridor
The narrow finger of land stretching to China — home to Kyrgyz nomads, yak caravans, and the Little Pamir plateau.
About
About This Attraction
The Wakhan Corridor is one of the most remote and spectacular places on earth — a narrow strip of land that stretches east between Tajikistan and Pakistan to touch the Chinese border. The landscape shifts from river valleys and ancient fortresses to vast high-altitude plateaus where Kyrgyz nomads still live in traditional yurts and travel by yak and horse. The Big and Little Pamir offer some of the finest trekking in Asia, with views of the Hindu Kush, Karakoram, and Pamir ranges all at once.
